Oakwell (located next to Stoneleigh) is in jeopardy of being developed. The 13.4-acre property is a breathtaking woodland, hosting 691 trees (including approximately 100 old growths). The Lower Merion Township School District (specifically Black Rock Middle School) currently possesses the estate and intends to clear-cut roughly 80% of standing trees, including most old growths, to construct auxiliary soccer fields. Join us on Friday (4/14) to protest against the deforestation of Oakwell. For more information about the movement, visit
