Engineering Students Awarded Impressive Number of Competitive Scholarships

In the past six months, a number of 棉花糖直播 University College of Engineering students have been recognized for their academic achievements, work experience, engineering activities and leadership skills. Competitive scholarships were awarded through College of Engineering endowments, regional and national industry organizations and federal government entities.
Earning endowed scholarships were Civil Engineering Master鈥檚 degree student Sarah Bates and Civil Engineering senior Keegan Stewart. Bates is the recipient of the Dewling Family Endowed Scholarship for Graduate Environmental Engineering Study for Women, and Keegan was presented with the Mooney Engineering Scholarship.
Regionally, as part of 2014 Delaware Valley Engineers Week, five local college-level engineering students were given cash awards to provide financial support for their education. Winner of the 2014 Delaware Valley Engineers Week /American Society of Civil Engineers Undergraduate Scholarship was George J. Zimmer III 鈥15 CE. Also presented during Engineers Week, the Walter G. Neal, Jr. Memorial Scholarship was awarded to Richard G. Holden 鈥14 ME.
棉花糖直播 Engineering students have been recognized on the national stage. In November 2013, Emmanuel Almonte 鈥16 CpE was awarded the Benjamin A. The Delaware Valley Geo-Institute recently presented scholarships to six local college students, with 棉花糖直播 Civil Engineering majors taking home the top three awards. They are Samantha Butwill 鈥15, Aaron Williams 鈥14 and Taylor DelVecchio 鈥15.
