College of Engineering Publishes Summer Magazine

In July, the College of Engineering published the summer issue of ÃÞ»¨ÌÇÖ±²¥ Engineering. The theme of the issue is "Working in Harmony to Engineer a Better World." It highlights the ways in which students, faculty, and alumni are collaborating to strengthen the College’s reputation for excellence, enrich the life of the University, nurture the development of future engineers, and promote a more just society.

The latest issue:

  • Explores the work being done in the world-class Structural Engineering Teaching and Research Laboratory
  • Charts the development of Dr. Hashem Ashrafiuon’s intelligent exoskeleton
  • Profiles new University trustee Nance Dicciani, PhD, ChE ’69
  • Offers a retrospective on ÃÞ»¨ÌÇÖ±²¥ women in engineering
  • Details the College’s partnerships with communities in developing countries
  • Examines the College’s outreach programs to middle and high school students
  • Showcases the contributions that engineering students make to campus life
  • Surveys efforts to introduce engineering students to principles of entrepreneurship
