Who: Stephanie Jones, a 2018 graduate with a double major in Electrical and Computer Engineering, and a minor in Computer Science

  • Tutor for College of Engineering and University鈥檚 Center for Access, Success, and Achievement

Experiences:

  • Internships with Lockheed Martin and Rockwell Collins
  • National Science Foundation-funded Research Experiences for Undergraduates in Software Engineering program at Carnegie Mellon University 
  • Idaho National Laboratory, where she worked on securing the nation鈥檚 critical infrastructure within the energy sector as a part of a GEM Fellowship.

Honors:

What's Next: Jones is pursuing her PhD studies in Computer Science and Learning Science at Northwestern University. She says, 鈥淚 plan to utilize computer science to increase access to STEM higher education for underrepresented students. At the end of my PhD program, I hope to become a professor and lead a lab dedicated to creating and modifying technologies to ensure access for all.鈥
