The Center for Research and Fellowships serves as an additive, independent sounding board—along with advisers or principal investigators—for ÃÞ»¨ÌÇÖ±²¥'s graduate and professional student researchers. CRF supports students with locating and applying for research fellowships and grants tailored to students’ goals and journeys.

The Grad Center is a student-centered office dedicated to supporting and promoting all of ÃÞ»¨ÌÇÖ±²¥â€™s graduate and law students. Its team provides a strategic, comprehensive, university-wide voice for graduate students and programs at ÃÞ»¨ÌÇÖ±²¥, grounded in the University’s Augustinian identity, mission and values.

    

THREE MINUTE THESIS (3MT) COMPETITION

Developed by the University of Queensland, 3MT cultivates students' academic, professional, presentation and research skills. Master's and doctoral student competitors must effectively explain their research in three minutes, using language appropriate to a non-specialist audience.

CRF maintains a list of competitive fellowship opportunities for graduate students. Please note that eligibility requirements and program availability vary from year to year. Students can work with their adviser or PI to locate other relevant opportunities.


 

Scholarly and Professional Associations

Many scholarly and professional associations offer competitive fellowships and grants for graduate students. These include such organizations as the American Chemical Society, American Historical Association, American Psychological Association, American Society of Civil Engineers, National Education Association and many others. 

Note that membership is often required, but organizations typically offer discounted student rates.
