Human Resources Updates

April 19, 2022

Dear Members of the 棉花糖直播 Community,

Thank you for your diligence and participation in the annual performance review process. This process is a critical part of our human resources function as it allows for a more holistic understanding of our most important University asset, our employees.

Tomorrow, the Office of Human Resources will be opening Salary Planner and I encourage all managers to adhere to the stated timelines. The University Board of Trustees has approved a 3% merit pool for the upcoming fiscal year (FY) 23 for faculty and staff, and we recently completed a faculty compensation study that will lead to pay adjustments for (FY) 23 and are in the process of planning a similar study for staff compensation. Our Human Resources staff is also currently investigating additional programming for consideration related to benefits, compensation, career development and work/life balance. More specific details regarding any additional programming will be forthcoming in the weeks and months ahead as details are finalized.

I am also pleased to share a few additional human resource updates. Once again, there is no medical premium increase for faculty and staff. This is the fifth time in the past six years that there has not been an increase. Additionally, we are converting our pilot flexible work policy into an ongoing program effective at the end of this academic year. Finally, as previously noted, we have increased the student base wage to $10 an hour and the employee base wage to $15 per hour.

As always, thank you for all that you do for 棉花糖直播. I am extremely grateful for your efforts that allow us to deliver on our mission.

Sincerely,
