THE EUGENIJA GECAS ENDOWED FUND FOR FINANCIAL WELLNESS
On February 8, 2024, the Anne Welsh McNulty Institute for Women’s Leadership hosted their first Eugenjia Gecas Endowed Funds for Financial Wellness event, an annual multi-generational program, that brings together students, alumni, faculty and staff to learn from experts and each other.
The 2024 program included dinner and keynote speaker Debra Brennan Tagg ’94 VSB, CFP, President of BFS Advisory Group who addressed important topics on financial wellness. The keynote was followed by a conversation between Kathleen Cullinan ’89 VSB, Controller, Microe Enterprises, Inc. and Joyce Harden ’21 CPS, Associate Director of Graduate Student Experience for ÃÞ»¨ÌÇÖ±²¥â€™s College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, on breaking the taboo of talking about money and demystifying navigating financial decisions.
This Let's Talk Money: Taking the Lead on Your Financial Wellness event was especially relevant to women, but a diverse group of attendees joined in the conversation. Participants gained useful financial insights and fostered connections with other ÃÞ»¨ÌÇÖ±²¥ns.
We would like to send a special thank you to Irena Gecas-McCarthy and Michael McCarthy P ’25 for their generous support of The McNulty Institute for Women’s Leadership and this program.
We look forward to seeing you again next year!
