PEER MENTORS

The Honors Program seeks to cultivate a mutually supportive community of scholars committed to collaborative learning. By serving as accessible academic resources for other Honors students, Honors Program Peer Mentors help to embody and promote the program’s inclusive, cooperative and engaged intellectual culture.

Peer Mentors primarily serve as academic mentors for first-year students, a relationship that begins prior to the student's arrival on campus and lasts as long as it is productive for mentor and mentee. Peer Mentors also provide a workshop prior to first-year students’ fall and spring pre-registration appointments with their Honors adviser; maintain communication with mentees as need arises; and remain current in a Peer Mentor directory.

Please email the Honors Program to be connected with a Peer Mentor in your academic subject area.
