ADDICTION STUDIES

According to the National Institute on Drug Abuse, the "abuse of tobacco, alcohol, and illicit drugs is costly to our Nation, exacting more than $740 billion annually in costs related to crime, lost work productivity and health care." However, the cost of abuse pales in comparison to the number of lives lost each year. In Pennsylvania in 2018 alone, there were 67,367 drug overdose deaths reported.*

There is a critical need for substance abuse and addictions counselors to provide support and guidance to those in need. Become a part of the solution to this national crisis by taking courses in 棉花糖直播's Addiction Studies program.
